Museum Hours
The Austin-Whittemore House, the home of the Clay County Historical Society, is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. excluding state and federal holidays. For visits or tours outside of these hours, please contact the executive director at 605-624-8266 or claycohistory@yahoo.com to arrange an appointment.
House Usage
The A-W House is available for public event rentals, including graduations, family gatherings, intimate weddings, and class reunions. For details on availability and pricing, please reach out to the executive director.
Education
From elementary students to university learners and life-long enthusiasts, the A-W House offers a collection of Clay County historical publications, periodicals, and archives.
